Introduction

Video Transcriber turns audio and video files you upload into timestamped transcripts. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

We may collect:

1. Account information such as your name, email address, and login identifiers.
2. Files you upload (MP3, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, M4A, WAV, or WEBM), the duration we read from the file, and the transcript we produce.
3. Usage data such as pages visited, credit balance, and transcription status.
4. Device and browser data used for security and compatibility.
5. Payment metadata such as order status. We do not store full card numbers.

Files and transcripts

Uploaded media is stored so you can play it back and so transcription can run. Transcripts, timestamps, and export files stay in your account until you delete the item. We do not offer public share links.

Transcription is performed by a third-party provider. That provider receives the media URL and the language setting you selected (automatic detection or a supported language). We do not send your files as embedded data.

Payments

Subscriptions and minute packs are processed by third-party payment providers. We receive confirmation and limited billing metadata.

How We Use Information

We use this information to run transcription, show your file list, charge or return credits, process payments, and keep the service secure.

Retention

You can delete a transcription from your workspace. Deleting removes it from your list and attempts to remove the stored file. Account data is kept while your account is active and as needed for billing and legal obligations.
